Two Temple Place - Meet the Makers
Over four days Two Temple Place will celebrate the unique craftsmanship at Two Temple Place through demonstrations of – and opportunities to have a go at – wood and stone carving, gilding, conservation and stained glass, alongside creative workshops and talks on craft and making.

Guided by a knowledgeable City of London Guide(external link) you'll journey through beautifully preserved rooms and catch a glimpse of the exquisite Harold Samuel Collection.

Catford Arts Trail
The Bowling Club are hosting artists as part of this annual event (see catfordarts.org). We will be having a cake stall again so we need your best bakes to help us raise funds. More details available at the September meeting but we will also be seeking volunteers to (wo)man the stall over the weekend.
Reading Museum - Bayeux Tapestry replica
Free entry. This faithful replica is 70-metres long. It was made by 35 skilled Victorian women embroiderers in 1885 and depicts the events leading up and includes to the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

Gathering Rest explores the restorative and transformative potential of rest in a culture that often prizes constant productivity. Responding to the social challenges of burnout, social injustice, and ecological crisis, the exhibition invites visitors to pause, reflect, and experience rest as a nourishing practice. One that can foster presence, repair and collective imagination in the face of personal and planetary crises.

Bletchley Visit
Some people have tickets from last year which entitles them to free entry but anyone else is welcome to join and buy entry there.
Catch the 9.48am train from Catford and travel by Northern Line to Euston or make your own arrangements to catch the 10.56am to Bletchley and the 4.10pm back to Euston. £9.55 with a senior railcard.
